Rainshield Roofing were contracted by the owners corporation of this Frankston apartment building to re-roof two large sections of roof. This Colorbond roofing Frankston project was quite complex due to the size of the roof and height of the building. The building was over 3 stories high and there was of over 500 square meters of roof to be removed and replaced. As you can see in the before shots, the roof was quite rusty and there has already been several attempts to fix some serious leaks using a liquid silicon coating.
We started by erecting fall prevention rails to the perimeter of the building as per Victoria occupational health and safety standards and then used a crane to deliver the new roof materials directly on to the roof. This allowed the occupants of the Frankston apartment building to carry on with their usual business with minimal disruption. Once the materials were secured our roof plumbers worked section by section to complete the project. There were several complete components in this roofing project such as the installation of insulation, roof re-battening, new box gutters and new customer folded parapet cappings.
The owners corporation chose the Colorbond colour, Surfmist for this project for it thermal efficiency and were delighted with the results.
