Rainshield Roofing was asked to help this Blackburn customer remove their old and weathered terracotta tile roof and replace it with new Colorbond steel.
Firstly we stripped the old terracotta roof off the existing Blackburn home and promptly disposed of them. To ensure the Colorbond sheets had a proper fixing to the structure we employed the use of metal battens to strengthen the roofs framework. Once the roof was bare and the battens were strengthened, an insulation blanket was installed to help the thermal efficiency of the building. Then the Colorbond custom orb roof sheets were installed along with a custom made glass skylight. The Blackburn customer chose the Colorbond colour Basalt, Basalt has a strong grey, without the softening of any greens. This combined with the neutral cast makes this colour suit a more modern look, which both us and the Blackburn customer agree was achieved by the end of the Colorbond Roofing Blackburn project.
The customer was thrilled with the end result and happily agreed to display the Colorbond Roofing Blackburn project on our website as a testament to Rainshield Roofings Masterful workmanship and Professionalism.
