Constructed in the 1960s, this triple story Footscray apartment complex was not only experiencing ongoing leaks due to perforated roof sheets, but a low pitch meant the whole roof area required regrading in order to function properly. The Rainshield Roofing team was able to bring the building up to today’s standards by stripping the rusted galvanised roofing sheets, replacing them with new Colorbond klip-lok.
Surfmist was chosen as the preferred colour for this project, both due to its striking look and thermal properties. Viewing the gallery, I think you’ll agree the building received a much-needed facelift, with the new Colorbond roof adding a modern and sleek finish to the 40-year-old building.
Additionally, new capping, fascia and guttering were installed – all in Colorbond! This will ensure the roof remains watertight and functioning as intended for decades to come
